What is COMPASS?
COMPASS is a government-funded program to help patients with addiction or substance abuse get the treatment they need. COMPASS providers can prescribe medications to manage withdrawal symptoms and cravings.
COMPASS offers regular telehealth visits with a mental health provider and access to a peer recovery specialist. Patients in the COMPASS program also have access to social work resources.
Available addiction services for:
- Substance use disorders
- Opioid use disorders
How can I access COMPASS?
You do not need a referral to enter the COMPASS program. You can contact our patient coordinator directly to learn more about the program.
Intermountain hospitals in the Salt Lake City area can also refer you to the program. If you are referred by one of our Emergency Departments or by the Behavioral Access Center at LDS Hospital, we ask that you remain at the hospital so we can connect with you before you leave. We can complete your intake visit via telehealth while you are there.
It is especially important that we be able to contact YOU while you are in the COMPASS program. Please make sure our team members have your best phone number so we can continue to provide treatment.
